Meet Dr. Russell
Jennifer Russell, DDS, MSD
Welcome to my practice! My goal is to create a unique practice environment by taking the time to get to know each patient personally. We are able to do this because we are a smaller, more intimate practice. We think of our patients as part of our family and always treat them with respect and kindness.
Education and continuing education
For my education, I attained my undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, then attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry for my DDS and orthodontic residency. Although my formal education is complete, I participate in continuing education throughout the year. I stay current with advances in orthodontic methods and technology in order to provide my patients with the highest quality treatment.
In addition to continuing education courses and seminars, I am also a part–time faculty member at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. This position helps keep me up-to-date with the latest orthodontic advancements.
In the practice
I love orthodontics because it gives me the opportunity to use both my scientific and artistic abilities while creating beautiful smiles. It makes me feel great when I help patients feel better about themselves. There are patients who come in for their first appointment, and won't smile because they are so embarrassed by their teeth. Nothing is better than giving my patients great smiles!
My team is an amazing group of professionals who always put the needs of our patients first. I enjoy spending my time with such a great staff, and I know our patients enjoy them too! You can always hear laughter in our office, and that makes everyone feel good.
Family and community
I am originally from Elkhart, Indiana, and have lived in Indianapolis for the past 16 years. My husband, Joel, and I have four wonderful children named Alex, Finn, Isabel and Theodore. In my spare time, I enjoy running marathons and playing with my kids.
My family attends Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. My oldest son is a student at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, where I volunteer. I have been actively involved in fund raising and activities with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for the past four years. I participate in the JDRF walk and gala every year, and last year were honored as the Promise Family.
